Power in the Valleys Health and well-being theme report now available

More than 50 participants came together for the first time last month to discuss the ideas that have been put forward by local communities for the project’s Community Fund.

 

Local residents gathered alongside experts working locally in the health sector to discuss and assess the viability of the ideas of the community.

Blade MTB trail now open!

Last month saw the opening of the new Blade MTB trail. The trail fully funded by Vattenfall is a red graded (difficult) trail of 24km in length. Get a preview of the trail by watching this promotional film, which has already had over 9000 views!

Emily Faull, Vattenfall

Emily, you are Vattenfall’s local project officer for Pen y Cymoedd. What does this role entail?

My main role is to ensure that we keep the communities living around the site well informed during construction. This means making sure that information is available to local people, they know where to access information, and who to contact if they have any questions or concerns. I will be the main contact for members of the public who have questions or queries. I will be spending a lot of my time onsite, so if I don’t have the answer I will be able to talk to a team member who has!
