Final turbine installed


It has been a long process, but we are pleased that the final turbine has now been installed. This means that the installation team have placed 684 large components over the last year. The main challenge has been the unpredictable weather onsite of course.

The team continues to bring the turbines into the operational phase step by step.

188,000 homes per annum


Our latest wind data recorded at the site expects Pen y Cymoedd to produce enough power annually to meet the electricity demand of more than 188,000 UK households* and will more than meet the domestic demand of host local authorities Rhondda Cynon Taf and Neath Port Talbot.
