Community Fund Autumn drop ins – feedback and thank you!

School

Around 70 of you came along to our drop-ins during the Autumn and we would like to thank you for taking the time to visit us. We heard from several of you that you have continued to progress your ideas since coming to see us in the Summer. This is fantastic news!

You asked us many questions at the events and we were able to provide guidance regarding the next steps. Some of you were keen to learn more about drafting a business plan and there are many resources available on the Business Wales website.

In addition, we are already receiving feedback that some of you are teaming up with other organisations with similar and/or complementary interests to develop your ideas collaboratively, which is great news.

We have made a short film encouraging you to take your next steps to prepare for the fund, follow the link to watch it now. Don’t forget that the Prospectus has all of the information that you need to know about the Fund. More information will become available when the Independent Body is set up.

Recruiting the Independent Body has been a challenging process for Empower and ourselves, with over 150 high-calibre applicants, covering a broad range of skills and experience.

The Directors of the Independent Body responsible for distributing the Community Fund will be announced early in the new year and we expect them to publish more guidance on the application process in Summer 2016. Don’t forget in the meantime you can always get in touch with any questions.
