Eryl Roberts is the project manager for the Jones Bros / Balfour Beatty joint venture constructing civils and electrical engineering work on the Pen y Cymoedd Wind Energy Project. The joint venture, a 50:50 partnership between Jones Bros Civil Engineering UK and Balfour Beatty, will deliver the balance of plant works at the 76 turbine project. Eryl, originally from Ruthin in Denbighshire, is a specialist in the construction of wind farms, and will manage the day-to-day running of the site.
He said: “I’ve been with Jones Bros for 12 years now, having joined when I was 18 after studying for a HNC in engineering studies. I come from an agricultural background, but always had an interest in construction, and really love my job.
“The first wind farm I worked on was back in 2004, and at the time was the biggest in the UK. I’ve since worked on 14 others across the UK.
“As the project manager, I’ll take care of activity on site, from liaising with the different workers to ensuring everything runs smoothly. The safety of site users is a priority for us. Click here to find out more.
“Pen y Cymoedd is a fantastic project that I’m really enjoying working on.”
