We love a site visit, and across all our projects we offer communities, schools and stakeholders a chance to come and see our projects getting built. Why?
First and foremost, it’s important that communities living with this infrastructure know what it’s all about – from the foundations to the tower installation, the onsite monitoring through to health and safety.
On a big site like Pen y Cymoedd, logistics can be a challenge. Travelling from one end of the site to the other takes a long time, the site gets all kinds of weather conditions, and it’s a busy construction site. So we decided that a visitor cabin would be a good idea, to make sure that we have somewhere for visitors to go, whatever the weather, and have a good experience on site.
We’ll be fitting out the cabin in the next few weeks, with wall displays about energy, construction and hopefully other interesting information for our visitors. Then, in the new year, the visits will start and we hope many local people will take the opportunity to come and see the site for themselves. If you are interested in visiting, you can sign up today!
