Over the last two weeks 40 local residents have joined us for a site visit. Associate Project Manager, Dan Wills and Senior Project Manager, Stephen Holdroyd, our resident tour guides, have answered some interesting questions about various aspects of the project. The questions have ranged from the development, construction and future operational phase of the project, including how the wind farm was designed, the dimensions of the foundations and how many homes the wind farm will power once operational. There was great interest from our visitors to return in 2016 to see the turbines being installed and we look forward to welcoming them back.
There will be two more visits this summer. Spaces for these visits are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Please get in touch if you wish to join us. Can’t make it? You can view our latest aerial footage of the site here.
In addition, 200 local school children have visited the site over the last four months. Find out more here.
A big thank you to our contractors Jones Bros Balfour Beatty who have made this possible.
