Apprentice wins National award

Michael Leach, one of the apprentices taken on as part of the Pen y Cymoedd project has won Apprentice of the Year Award at the recent Renewable UK Gala Dinner.

Michael was part of a training scheme in which Vattenfall worked with local company Isofab to give four individuals, living locally to Pen y Cymoedd Wind Energy Project, the chance to participate in a 3 year course, including practical training on two of Vattenfall’s offshore wind farms, where the apprentices have been fully integrated into their relevant teams.

Pen y Cymoedd wins Green Energy Award

The Pen y Cymoedd project was awarded the RenewableUK Cymru Green Award for Supply Chain Development in 2013, demonstrating its commitment and innovative methods in developing a strong supply chain in Wales.
