The Pen y Cymoedd Community Fund CIC is recruiting once more!


The Board of Directors is currently recruiting for a Programme Administrator to provide all aspects of administrative and delivery support for the Community Fund serving the needs of communities in the upper reaches of the Rhondda, Cynon, Afan and Neath Valleys. The deadline for applications is 17:00 on 12th September.

The newly appointed Board of Directors has been spending time getting up to speed with the Community Fund. They are now ready for the next step! Their search begins for an inspiring and diligent Executive Director to provide strategic leadership and management for the Community Fund.

The Executive Director will establish a new office base, staff team and frameworks to facilitate applications and assessments for the fund.

We are delighted to be able to announce the appointment of Board Members to the Pen y Cymoedd Wind Farm Community Fund CIC (Community Interest Company).

An independent body is being established to manage the £1.8 million per year Community Fund for more than twenty years, to support communities in the upper Afan, Cynon, Neath and Rhondda, hosting the project.

Currently Vice Chair of Cwm Taf University Health Board, member of Cwm Taf Regional Partnership Board, responsible for ensuring implementation of the social services and well-being act in Rhondda, Cynon Taf and Merthyr Tydfil, and a member of the West Glamorgan Shreivalty (covering the Neath and Afan Valleys), Donna is hugely qualified, insightful regarding the needs of deprived communities, and well connected with networks of stakeholders who are helping to drive numerous and varied community development and well-being schemes. She also has significant experience assessing grants against criteria.
