Please see below turbine component delivery information for the week commencing 13th June. Please note that these are expected times only. Please get in touch if further information is required.
Morning deliveries are expected to leave Swansea Docks at around 09:30. Due to the length of time it takes for the components to travel to their respective turbine locations, we cannot be specific regarding the afternoon delivery time, and deliveries will leave Swansea Docks between 11:30 and 13:30. This means they will arrive at the bottom of the Rhigos between 12:30 and 14:30.
We expect the smaller of the cranes to arrive onsite later today. These cranes will be responsible for lifting the first two tower sections of each turbine into place. We expect this to commence early next week, weather permitting!
We recently wrote to you regarding the Pen y Cymoedd Festival Opening Celebration due to take place on 30th September. We have made the decision to postpone the event until next year due to ongoing construction works onsite. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and look forward to seeing you onsite next year and will confirm the date as soon as we can.
Don’t forget that there are many walking and mountain bike trails onsite for you to enjoy over the Summer period should you wish to experience the wind farm at your own accord. The area has changed significantly over the last three years due to the new infrastructure so please download this Site Map to take with you. If you would like a paper copy please email us with your address and we will post one out to you.
