Assistant Resident Engineer, Meurig Hughes has been keeping us up to date with the weather onsite this week.
“This has been the first snow onsite for the 2014 / 2015 winter season. Although it can be disruptive to our journey to work and operations onsite, it is a very beautiful environment to work in at times like these. It can get a little chilly though.”
“ABB continue to work on the A4061 Rhigos Road, where traffic lights remain due to the exposed trench in the middle of the road. These works are to connect the wind farm to the power grid. The traffic lights at our site entrance will be switched off during evenings and weekends at times of adverse weather.”
“Jones Bros / Balfour Beatty will concentrate on the construction of new access tracks and the upgrading of existing forest tracks over the next month. They will not continue with the turbine foundation excavations until the worst of the adverse weather has passed for this year.”
“Don’t forget we will be hosting site visits in the spring, which you can register for here. We look forward to meeting you in our new education cabin.”
