The spaghetti and marshmallow challenge


We found some budding engineers in the South Wales Valleys today and it only took two ingredients, marshmallows and spaghetti! Parc Primary School pupils of Treorchy, were keen to learn about wind turbine construction following their energy project this term.

They also spent some time building their own free standing and in some cases spinning turbines (with a little push on the rotor of course) out of spaghetti and marshmallows. Local community members will be visiting Pen y Cymoedd over the Summer, with schools popping up to see us in September. We look forward to meeting you. See more photos below.
